INVERSION ANKLE SPRAIN IN A HIGH SCHOOL VOLLEYBALL PLAYER
The ankle joint is a complex structure made up of bones, ligaments, tendons and muscles that allow for it to bend and twist in different planes or directions. Because of this ability, ankle sprains are quite common in everyday life and even more common in sports and athletics that require running, quick turns, or jumping.
This website is designed to demonstrate the evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation for a high school volleyball player who sustained an inversion ankle sprain during a game. For the purpose of this site, the overview of injury, hypothetical case study provided, and rehabilitation plan are designed to serve as an example for a real case study, but this site is solely for class project purposes and is not in any way directions from a doctor.
